On September 16, 1999, SHARE! (The Self-Help And Recovery Exchange) held their annual Recovery Awards Banquet in the Ballroom of the Windham Garden Hotel in Los Angeles.

In a room filled with mainstream politicians, judges, doctors, lawyers, familiar faces from the entertainment industry, and prime movers from many self-help organizations, NORM Southern California was publicly honored by decrees from the City of Los Angeles, the County of Los Angeles, the State of California, the Congress of the United States, and the local self-help community for its contributions in service to the community.

Recipient of the Awards on behalf of the men of NORM Southern California was Steven E. Michaud, a charter member of NORM Southern California as well as the coordinator and guiding force behind the chapter from May 1995 through October 1998.

NORM Southern California proudly continues doing the work for which we were publicly honored: repairing the physical and emotional damage done by circumcision, through non-surgical foreskin restoration. As always, NORM will freely provide men with information on the latest techniques and the most effective restoration methods, emotional support, intelligent nonjudgmental discussions and feedback, generous and practical assistance, savvy council, and a sense of safe community with one common goal - reclaiming the physical and sexual wholeness that is our birthright.
